EXPERIENCE
Bartender/Part-time Manager, Wormy Dog Saloon Oklahoma City, OK December ’04 – present
Computer Programmer, Independent Company Oklahoma City, OK January ’02 – April ‘02
- Used Visual Basic (VB) 6.0 to perform GUI design and do some programming. The company was developing an application in VB 6.0 that would run on a desktop as well as a PDA.
It was designed for the medical field for use by doctors so that they could pull up information on their PDA about patient history, medications, etc. The application was designed
to be wireless compatible and able to transmit prescriptions to drug stores as well. My work on the job entailed cleaning up the graphical user interface to make it more appealing to the eye.
I also did work cleaning up links (button clicks, etc.) within the code and syncing the VB6 code with a sample database. The company folded after money ran out, as the project was
more overwhelming and detailed than originally thought by the head developer.
- For my capstone project in college, I developed a GUI in VB6 that was designed to train employees at Sonic Drive-In to be able to use the POS to input orders through the intercom.
It required a realistic design of the POS board that they use, and it incorporated Text-to-Speech technology to simulate real-life situations and timers for lessons and goals.
