Multi-Platinum-selling rock band Third Day was founded in 1991 by Mac Powell and Mark Lee.Since then they have played to millions of fans all over the world. They're considered a Christian rock/Southern rock music band. Influenced by Lynyrd Skynyrd, U2, and Rich Mullins. With four band members to include lead singer Mac Powell, guitarist Mark Lee, bassist Tai Anderson, and drummer David Carr. The band's name is a reference to a biblical account of Jesus rising from the dead on the third day following his crucifixon. They have been honored with many awards. Which include American Music Award in 2008. Four Grammy Awards starting in 2002, 2005, 2007 2010. As well as numerous Gospel Music Awards. Billboard magazine noted the act is"not only one of the best Christian bands of the 90's but one of the best rock bands, period" The newest album by Third Day to be released soon is called "Move"!
